There are 96 members in Shree Bhedabari Milk Producers Cooperative Limited, which includes 27 women members. Mrs. Parbati Bhandari Poudel is the president of the Cooperative. She herself runs an agriculture farm under an auspice of Sidhartha Krishi Tatha Pasupanchi Farm. The cooperative runs a milk collection centre in a community building, where cooperative itself is situated.
There are 2 milk storage tanks with 1000 liters and 500 liters capacity respectively. The milk is produced by the members themselves. The cooperative procures the milk at rupees 70-72 per liter from its members. The maximum interest a member can hold is rupees 5000 divided into 50 shares at rupees 100 each. The cooperative follows a democratic voting system to nominate its committee members. The cooperative reinvests the income for loan to members @12% p.a., which is purely in the nature of an agricultural loan.
The individual members also run a number of agri-farms, which the milk cooperative is associated with. Each household rears a minimum of two cattle. Mr. Ghanshyam Adhikari runs Thula Kuna Cow Husbandry, who is a member of the cooperative. Mr. Umanath Gautam also runs Om Sairam multi-purpose agriculture and animal husbandry farm, who is also a member of the cooperative. Mardi Khola Krishi Farm and Aansu Roshani Krishi Farm are also active, which are run by some other members.
A large-scale cattle farming is also evident in Bhidabari. However, the members are not pooling resources besides collection and distribution of milk. The producer group has not taken technical trainings of any type, whatsoever. The members are not making partnership for the higher goals.
